Mohammad Farrukh Raza – Managing Director

Farrukh Raza is the founder and managing director of IFAAS. Farrukh has previously held senior roles in sales and marketing at Islamic Bank of Britain where he developed and launched UK’s first Shariah-compliant Community, Private and Business banking propositions.  As Head of Business Development at IBB he played an instrumental role in making the bank a well recognised and trusted brand in the UK.  He is also actively involved in promoting Islamic financial industry at European level. Farrukh holds an MBA in Strategic Management and is a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He has lectured on Islamic Finance topics in many reputed universities worldwide. He is a popular speaker in International conferences on Islamic Finance.

Shaher Abbas – Director Shariah Compliance & Product Development

Shaher Abbas has a Masters degree in Islamic Finance from Loughborough University and has an extensive hands-on experience in Islamic banking. His expertise in Shariah Compliance, Audit and Product Development are recognised industry wide. He has successfully developed and launched several new products in the UK. He has been accredited to lecture and train the IFQ syllabus for Islamic Finance and has also lectured at a variety of conferences.  In his roles as Shariah Compliance Officer & Shariah Auditor, he has also earned an exceptional level of appreciation and credibility with several key Shariah scholars. He is a candidate for PhD in Islamic Finance at Durham University.
 
Boubkeur AJDIR - Project Director
 
Boubkeur started his career at GE CAPITAL ITS before joining Sungard Group where he has conducted numerous projects since 2002 in a major French investment bank. Graduated at the Ecole Nationale de Commerce (Paris BESSIERES) he has also received specialized training for 3 years in Islamic theology at the Centre for Studies and Research on Islam with the focus on Islamic financial law.
Since 2008, he joined IFAAS as project director, where he has led the projects among others, setting up Shariah-Compliant investment funds, a project of Sukuk  issuance and feasibility studies on the launch of Islamic banks in France. He has also actively contributed in the research and development of the French tax reforms pertaining to Islamic finance. He is also an experienced lecturer and trainer on Islamic finance subjects.
